Donor Policy
- Purpose
Beyond Bipolar is committed to maintaining transparency, accountability, and ethical fundraising practices. This policy outlines the principles and guidelines governing the acceptance, use, and management of donations to support our mission. Beyond Bipolar is a 501(c)(3) Nonprofit organization, EIN 33-2252022. Donations are tax-deductible as allowed by law. No goods or services were provided in exchange for your contribution. - Types of Donations Accepted
Beyond Bipolar gratefully accepts the following types of donations:
- Monetary Donations: Checks, credit/debit card payments, wire transfers, and online contributions.
- In-Kind Donations: Goods, services, or property that align with our mission and operational needs.
- Stock & Securities: Publicly traded securities, subject to liquidation upon receipt.
- Planned Giving: Bequests, charitable trusts, life insurance policies, and annuities.
- Restricted vs. Unrestricted Funds: Donors may specify restrictions on the use of their gifts, subject to approval by Beyond Bipolar.
- Donation Acceptance Criteria
Beyond Bipolar reserves the right to accept or decline any donation based on the following criteria:
- The donation aligns with our mission, values, and programs.
- The gift does not create a conflict of interest or impose undue financial burdens.
- The donation is legal and does not require actions that contradict our ethical standards.
- The source of the donation is not linked to activities that may harm our reputation or integrity.
- Use of Funds
All donations will be used to further Beyond Bipolar’s mission and programs. Restricted donations will be applied to the designated purpose, provided they align with our objectives. If a designated purpose is no longer viable, the donation may be reallocated with donor consent or per organizational policy. - Donor Acknowledgment & Receipts
Beyond Bipolar will issue acknowledgment letters and receipts for all monetary donations, in accordance with IRS and state regulations. Donors contributing over the tax-deductible threshold will receive an official tax receipt. - Donor Privacy & Confidentiality
We respect donor privacy and will not sell, trade, or share donor information with third parties without consent. Donors may opt out of public recognition upon request. - Refund Policy
Donations are generally non-refundable. Refunds may be issued in rare circumstances, such as a processing error or donor request within a reasonable timeframe. Beyond Bipolar accepts corporate donations and matching gifts in accordance with our ethical standards. Corporate partnerships must align with our mission and values. - Compliance & Ethical Standards

Changes to Donor Policy
We reserve the right to revise this Donor Policy at any time by updating this posting. Please check back regularly you can determine by reviewing the Effective Date listed below. By continuing to donate to us after those changes become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised Donor Policy.
