About Beyond Bipolar – Lived Experience, Advocacy, and Hope

A Message From Our Founders
Beyond Bipolar started as part of my own family’s journey. Over the years, while parenting 11 children and navigating my own mental health challenges, I saw firsthand how important support, understanding, and community can be. Mental health has always been close to my heart, and I knew I had something to give back.

Nine months ago, I took the leap to officially create Beyond Bipolar. It was time to gather all the lessons we had learned and bring them into one place, a space where others could find connection, encouragement, and hope.

I also wanted to highlight the changes still needed in how we treat mental health, because the journey is far from over. My dream is that Beyond Bipolar continues to grow as a place where stories, advocacy, and healing come together to make a real difference.

Thank you for being part of this story.

Why We Share Our Stories

By sharing our perspectives on living with mental health challenges, we shed light on both the positive and difficult aspects of this often misunderstood condition.

Drawing from a combined 200+ years of lived experience, from children to adults, we provide a compassionate, honest, and well-rounded understanding of mental health. Every story, whether of struggle or success, has the power to inspire, educate, and bring hope.

Whether it’s through in-person moments, lived-experience blogs, pictures, videos, music, or webinars, we love using every way we can to help, teach, and learn. To us, the effort is always worth it

The Power of Hope

Hope is more than a feeling  it’s a beacon of light that guides us toward a meaningful life. Even in moments when the future feels uncertain, hope helps us find strength and motivation to persevere.

Sometimes, we must look deep within ourselves to discover the inner resources needed to overcome obstacles and keep moving forward.
