My school is very special to me. I’m part of something called the Phoenix Program, which gives me the extra support I need to succeed. In this program, we earn “feathers” to show our progress. When we earn enough feathers, we get the chance to return to our mainstream school.
Sometimes earning feathers can be really challenging, but I keep trying. I started off strong, but then things got a little tough for me. Still, I didn’t give up—and I’m proud to say I earned another feather, called Task Completion. That feather means I was doing everything I was supposed to, like finishing my schoolwork.
I’m really proud of myself, and my parents are proud of me too. To celebrate my hard work, they took me out for ice cream! I’ve earned two feathers in just three months, and that’s a big deal for me—and for my family.
